Terms of Service

Last updated: June 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ShareBetweenDevices (the “Service”), available at sharebetweendevices.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

ShareBetweenDevices lets you transfer files and clipboard text directly between two devices using a peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. Files are sent browser-to-browser and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. Our servers normally handle only the brief signaling handshake needed to establish the direct connection. Where a direct connection is impossible, the Service automatically falls back to forwarding the encrypted transfer through a relay server, which cannot read or retain its contents. The transfer screen tells you when a relay is in use.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not use ShareBetweenDevices to send, share, or distribute:

Because transfers are encrypted end to end and are never stored — including when they are relayed — we cannot monitor, access, or moderate the content you send. You are solely responsible for what you transfer and for ensuring you have the right to share it.

3. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every transfer will complete successfully. Peer-to-peer connections depend on your network, and some restrictive networks may block direct connections.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShareBetweenDevices and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Always keep your own copy of any important file until the transfer is confirmed complete.

5. Advertising

The Service is free and supported by advertising displayed through Google AdSense and its partners. Your use of the Service is also subject to the policies of these advertising providers. See our privacy policy for details on cookies and advertising.

6. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
